Directing Edison’s New York office and Interactive Marketing & Digital Media practice, Ryan is the powerhouse needed to motivate the investment team and drive results, having completed venture investments totaling over $135M invested capital.  He brings experience in sales, marketing, partner development, business strategy and capital formation.

For Ryan, the workday doesn’t stop when he leaves the office.  He spends much of his time influentially serving a variety of regional venture, entrepreneurial and technology organizations.

Ryan Ziegler leads Edison’s Interactive Marketing & Digital Media practice and manages early and growth-stage investments within the advertising and marketing technology, social media, mobile, data services and gaming sectors.  He brings experience in finance, sales and marketing, partner development, capital formation and business strategy.  He directs Edison's New York office and regional team, completing investments in emerging companies totaling over $135M invested capital.

Ryan is an active member in many venture industry networking organizations in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.  He is a frequent speaker at entrepreneurial events and technology conferences.

Prior Experience

Ryan sourced and evaluated new investments in dozens of Edison investments.  He currently serves as a Director for Arkadium, Lifebooker, MediaBrix, Magnetic, NetProspex and Operative Media (Observer).

Ryan joined Edison in 2003 as Manager of Business Development to institutionalize their sourcing capabilities.  He started principally investing in 2005.  He built and expanded Edison's extensive network of technology executives, capital sources, corporate development and service providers generating proprietary investment opportunities.  Previously, Ryan was in the financial technology space working in the Associates program with SEI (NASDAQ: SEIC).

Ryan participates in numerous regional technology organizations.  He is co-chair of selection committee for the NYCVA Ingenuity Conference, the steering committee for the NYC Venture Connection (NYCVC) and the advisory board for the NYC Venture Summit.
